- APA (35%) (The Advance Provisioning Allowance is the standard agreement to cover expenses when renting a luxury yacht. Essentially, it creates a bank account for the yacht's captain to provision the yacht on your behalf. Usually, a percentage of 25 or 30% is added to the rental fee, depending on the itinerary. The captain uses this account to make payments and is required to keep all receipts and maintain accurate accounting. You can review the expenditure level at any time with the captain, and they will inform you when it's time to top up the account. Any unspent funds will be returned at the end of the rental. All expenses are used for purchasing fuel, food, etc., and you can examine each of the receipts if you wish. The APA system is a straightforward way to ensure the yacht is efficiently stocked with minimal hassle and a clear record of expenses.)
