Mandatory Extras
- APA (35%) (The Advance Provisioning Allowance is the standard arrangement to cover expenses when chartering a luxury yacht. Essentially, it creates a bank account for the yacht's captain to provision the yacht on your behalf. Typically, a percentage of 25% or 30% is added to the charter fee, depending on the itinerary. The captain uses this account to make payments and is required to keep all receipts and maintain accurate accounting. You may review the spending level at any time with the captain, and they will inform you when it’s time to top up the account. Any unspent money will be returned to you at the end of the charter. All expenses are for fuel, food, etc., and you can review each receipt if you wish. The APA system is a straightforward way to keep the yacht efficiently supplied, with minimal hassle and a clear record of expenses.)
